Certified Peer Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Share personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and model wellness
- Provide one-on-one and group peer support sessions
- Assist individuals in setting and achieving recovery goals
- Facilitate peer-led support groups and wellness workshops
- Teach self-advocacy, coping strategies, and life skills
- Support clients in accessing housing, employment, and healthcare resources
- Help clients manage appointments and maintain treatment plans
- Promote socialization through recreational and community activities
- Advocate for clients’ rights and preferences in care settings
- Maintain accurate documentation of peer interactions and progress
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Certification as a Peer Support Specialist (state-specific credentialing required)
- Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Knowledge of recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and community resources
Preferred Skills
- Experience facilitating groups or workshops
- Familiarity with vulnerable adult laws and social service regulations
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to marginalized populations
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Position Summary
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you’ll play an integral role in our holistic care approach—supporting clients through individual therapy, group sessions, treatment planning, and coordination with our recovery and housing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, client-centered counseling to individuals with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and support psychoeducation workshops
- Collaborate with peer support specialists and case managers to ensure wraparound care
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with ethical and professional standards
- Support clients in goal-setting, wellness planning, and developing healthy coping strategies
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing training
Education & Experience
- A current LMHC or LICSW license in Washington State (required)
- Deep empathy and a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach to care
- Experience working with individuals impacted by substance use, housing insecurity, or justice involvement (preferred)
- Ability to build authentic, respectful relationships across diverse backgrounds
- A passion for making a real difference in the lives of others
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
| Salary | $88,653 – $96,814 per year |
